I set up Box of Jewels Ltd six years ago after I'd tried and failed to find a UK based website selling a large wooden jewellery box for my sister's birthday.
Originally I only found one jewellery box wholesaler within the UK but even with a fairly limited range of items, the website was an immediate success. Over the past few years I've managed to find several new suppliers and the range we offer has grown considerably. I've also noticed that we now have quite a few competitors!
Although traditional wooden jewellery boxes and leather jewellery cases are still very popular, the number of valet cases, watch boxes and cufflink boxes we sell has increased considerably over the past two years. Musical boxes with a dancing ballerina figure remain a firm favourite with the younger generation - I always wanted one as a child but never got one - but the best selling catagory remains the earring cases. Perhaps because they are quite difficult to find.
